IT market in Ukraine
Today, Ukraine is experiencing positive growth in the information technology market. As of 2018, the number of FOPs in the IT sector increased by 23%. The greatest dynamics is observed in Cherkasy, Poltava, Khmelnitsky and Ternopil regions.
For 2017, the number of IT organizations in the field of IT in Ukraine was 127 thousand. As of 2018, there are already 154 thousand of them. This data was provided by the DOU resource based on information from the state register of legal and natural persons-entrepreneurs.
Priority
Along with the growth rates of FOPs, the most popular industry in which the IT market of Ukraine is developing is also determined. This is computer programming. A similar situation is observed throughout the world, so the results of the study were predictable. There are already 102 thousand specialists in this field in Ukraine. Analysis of the growth of specialists in the territory
The leaders in terms of the dynamics of the formation of IT-FOP in Ukraine were the territory of Cherkasy, Poltava and Khmelnitsky regions. Here, the number of officially registered IT specialists has increased by as much as 28%.
Actively increased rates in Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Kirovograd (including by regions). In these regions over the past year, 27.26 and 25% of FOPs were registered, respectively. Least of all was recorded in the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk. Such a meeting was also expected. But even in these regions of Ukraine, despite the complexity of the military and political situation, the development of the IT market is also positive, and amounted to 12 and 8%, respectively. Forecasts for the future are also positive, and a further increase in the number of FOPs in the east of the country is expected.
A slow pace was recorded in Transcarpathia and the southern regions: Nikolaev and Kherson. (respectively: 18,17,16%).
Despite the difference in performance across regions of Ukraine, in the ranking, the IT FOP order remained almost unchanged. Poltava region has changed its position, it has moved higher than Zhytomyr, and Rivne (bypassed Kherson). You can visually assess the situation according to the schedule:
The ratio of IT professionals: women and men
Interesting results were shown by research in this industry. Previously, there were few women IT specialists. The new specialty attracted more men. But with the development of computer technology, there is an increase in interest in this industry and among the fair sex.
Ukraine has seen an increase in the number of female IT specialists. Although the pace is slow. For 2017, there were 24% of girls among the entire mass of FOPs, and the state of 2018 was 25%.
